The World Is Not The Truth

The Bible Says...

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (1 John 2:15 KJV)

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2 KJV)

Are We Brainwashed?

In modern day, the talk about Christian Rap being labeled as Holy Hip Hop draws many controversies.  Satans plan is to reconcile our faith.  He want us to believe that there is no God or God is dead.  When you turn on the tv, you see half naked woman, money, and cars.  "The World is Hip Hop" I over heard someone say.  To me, that could only mean one thing.  Satan and his demons are brainwashing us through the media.

He's not just targeting the adults, but he is going after the youth and even the babies.  Let's admit it, the truth is always reconsidered, but how often do you hear or read the truth?  We rather continue watching and listening to the fabrications that the world presents to us.  Honestly, I'm tired of being lied to.  One day, I ask God for the truth, and he delivered me by revealing that I was being brainwashed.  I've followed Hip Hop for so long, that I began to satisfy the sins of my flesh.  We have to let go of our idols, and stop fulfilling our unholy desires.  God is not pleased.

Christian Rap: Holy Hip Hop

If you ask a pastor how they feel about Holy Hip Hop you probably get this response, "They need to take that garbage back to the streets!"  Not all Christian Rap music is bad.  We really have some good and powerful artists that preach the Gospel through there music.  Calling it Holy Hip Hop is an abomination.  For an example,  stating that you are blessed by God and then in the same sentence call a woman out by her name (B, or hoe) is an abomination.  We are all familiar with Hip Hop and it's elements.  (Djing, Mcing, break dancing, and graffiti)  Hip Hop is more then just music.  According to KRS-ONE, Hip Hop is a culture that should be accepted as an organized religion.  He has written a 600 page book called The Gospel of Hip Hop: The First Instrument.   He also believes that a 100 years from now Hip Hop will be a new religion.  So, if Hip Hop is a religion and Christianity is a religion, is that the same as worshiping and praising two Gods?

The bible says..."Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3 KJV)  We can not praise two Gods, nor can we bow down and serve them.  Hip Hop does not speak the truth to our youths.  Satan want us to believe that we can praise ourselves, and the Black man is God.  Jay-Z considers himself as Hova. (God) or the God of Rap.  Christian Rap should not have the label "Holy Hip Hop."  I think categorizing Christian Rap with Hip Hop is contradicting the lyrics.  Christian rappers speaks the truth about the Gospel.  They talk about the bible and they inspire people to walk right like Jesus.  Hip Hop is a culture that is degrading our women, destructing our youths mind, and a device to draw us away from Gods mercy and grace.

My Opinion

As a musician, I love music!  I don't agree with the idea of labeling Christian Rap "Holy Hip Hop."  I'm not against Hip Hop, but there is no comparison.  It should not be no alternative name for Christian Rap.  Ex Ministries produced a DVD called "The Truth Behind Hip Hop."  The purpose of the DVD is to exposed Hip Hop.  Everyone has their opinion about both genre of music, but I think it digs deeper then music.  I love Christian music, and I do not think that all christian music is bad.  Lecrae, Da T.R.U.T.H., and Trip Lee (just to name a few) are very good Christian lyricist.  The internet is misleading and it is just another way for the enemy to brainwash our youth.  My suggestion to all music lovers, READ YOUR BIBLE!
